Rathul Jayaprakash and Mohamed Shaheen of MES Indian School won the championship in the grand finale of Vodafone Brain Hunt Quiz Contest — Season 4 yesterday before a crowd of more than 2,000 students and teachers from various schools in Qatar. Vodafone was the main sponsor of the contest, which was conducted by Vision Tomorrow Group, with Kannu Baker as quizmaster. Lulu Hypermarket, Malabar Gold and Diamonds and Qatar UAE Exchange were the other sponsors. A total of 228 teams participated in the selection round, and the grand finale saw six teams, from Delhi Public School, MES Indian School, Shantiniketan Indian School, Doha Modern Indian School, Birla Public School and Ideal Indian School, taking part.
MES Indian School won the championship with 60 points, and Aswin A and Aditya K of Birla Public School came second with 36 points.
“It is a fantastic quiz and the Brain Hunt show serves as an excellent platform for tapping into the potential of the talented youngsters in Qatar and nurturing the talent, and Vodafone keenly supports such initiatives to promote the quest for knowledge among students,” said Wajeeha Al Hussaini, Head of Brand and Communication, Vodafone Qatar.
