DOHA: DPS-Modern Indian School (DPS-MIS) organised its annual overseas educational trip to Austria and Czech Republic to explore the beauty of their medieval cities and get a hands-on experience.
Seventy-eight students accompanied by 10 teachers set out on a seven day-excursion from March 23 to 29.
The excursion was an opportunity for the students to experience and explore the world of ecstasy beyond the walls of the class rooms.
The fairy tale castles, medieval cities and vineyard-covered hills, the Habsburg Empire that left behind a parade of opulent palaces, monasteries, cathedrals and other awe-inspiring sights were enjoyed and appreciated for their panoramic view.

The Imperial Apartments at the Stofberg and Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna, grand city of music and culture, the exquisite Baroque libraries and other historical places left the visitors spell bound.
The salt mines at Hallstatt, hot springs at Karlovy Vary, expedition to Kitzsteinhorn Glacier in the cable cars, guide walk tours at Český Krumlov(e) and Kutna Hora bone chapel tour (Unesco heritage site) were the highlights of the trip. The joyful experience on the snow covered mountains of the Alps can never be forgotten.
It was indeed a thrilling, amazing and memorable experience that enabled the students to be more active and effective learners and inculcated the values of punctuality, endurance and team -spirit in them.
