Minister of Municipality and Environment H E Mohamed bin Abdullah Al Rumaihi yesterday visited Al Mazrouah Yard. He was briefed by officials on its functioning. He also listened to the views of citizens and residents about the services. The yard for locally produced vegetables and fruits is open from Thursday to Saturday from 7am to 5pm. The markets in Umm Salal, Al Wakrah and Al Khor-Al Zakhira are the ministry’s initiative to encourage local farmers to sell their produce directly to consumers without intermediaries, at reasonable prices.
