Beirut: Israeli occupation forces carried out airstrikes on Thursday on multiple areas in southern Lebanon, Lebanese media reported.
The National News Agency (NNA) stated that the town of Aita Al Jabal was targeted, followed by an airstrike on Taybeh after prior threats to the town.
Israeli forces also struck a building in Tairba, located in the Tyre district.
The Health Ministry's Emergency Operations Center confirmed in a statement that the number of people injured in the airstrikes on Tura, Tyre district, has risen to eight.
A ceasefire agreement in southern Lebanon had come into effect on Nov. 27, 2024, requiring Israeli forces to withdraw from border villages within 60 days. While the Beirut government later approved an extension of the deadline to February 18, Israeli forces remained in five locations and continue to violate the ceasefire.
