Doha: As a part of its cooperation with the Quran Radio, the Foundation of Sheikh Thani Ibn Abdullah for Humanitarian Services (RAF) is going to devote today’s radio programme (Gates of Mercy) for raising money to drill water wells in four countries - Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Ghana, and Mali.
The programme is going to host renowned Islamic preacher Sheikh Saad bin Atiq Al Atiq, who will speak about people’s need for water, importance of providing poor people with clean drinking water and impact of that on their lives.

Broadcasting will start at 8pm and continue for one hour to raise money for drilling 305 wells for around 17,000 beneficiaries.
Last year, RAF drilled 1210 water wells in 21 of the most poorest African and Asian countries, which cost QR 25 million raised through the same programme.
RAF urged every listener to support this noble campaign and assured that donors can simply send a SMS on 92188 for donation.
They can also donate through the hotline available around the clock (55341818), as well as through donation collectors of RAF who are available in different part of the country.
