Emir receives phone call from Erdogan

Doha: Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received a telephone call from Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

They reviewed relations between the two countries, ways of enhancing them and the latest developments in the region.
Meanwhile, Erdogan yesterday met Minister of State for Defence Affairs H E Dr Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah who was on a visit to Turkey.
Dr Al Attiyah conveyed the Emir’s greetings to the president and his wishes to him and the Turkish people for further development.
Erdogan asked Dr Al Attiyah to convey his greetings to the Emir, and his wishes to him of continued good health and happiness and the Qatari people more progress and prosperity.
They discussed relations between both countries and ways of enhancing them and exchanged views on issues of common interest, especially in the military field in addition to the overall situation on the Arab and international arenas.
Dr Al Attiyah also held separate meetings with Turkish Defence Minister Ismet Yilmaz and Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.
They discussed  issues of mutual interest and ways of developing them to serve the common interests of two countries.
The meetings were attended by Qatari Ambassador to Turkey Salem bin Mubarak Al Shafi and the delegation accompanying Dr Al Attiyah.
