Hong Kong stocks end lower after Fed minutes

Hong Kong: Hong Kong stocks closed down with most other Asian markets Thursday after minutes from the Federal Reserve's March meeting showed it is considering tightening monetary policy.

Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index shed 0.52 percent, or 127.08 points, to end at 24,273.72.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.33 percent, or 10.69 points, to 3,281.00 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, gained 0.30 percent, or 6.01 points, to 2,029.21.
