Tokyo: The Doha Institute for Graduate Studies participated in the 5th University Presidents for Peace Conference, held in Hiroshima, Japan, in a joint coordination between the Presidency of the Arab Universities Union and Hiroshima University.
The conference aimed to review the contribution of universities in supporting and promoting peace efforts.
President of Doha Institute for Graduate Studies Dr. Abdelwahab El Affendi highlighted during the conference the role of the Institute and the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies in supporting peace, humanitarian work, and sustainability, through several programmes and centers.
Dr. El Affendi discussed, on the sidelines of the conference, mechanisms for cooperation with Hiroshima University and with the presidents of the participating universities in several fields
