More than 1,000 minor accidents have been registered through Metrash2 mobile application since the service was launched in August, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said recently on its official Facebook account.

The General Directorate of Traffic in August this year had launched a new service on its Metrash2 mobile application to simplify procedures for motorists getting involved in minor traffic accidents.

The service, available for minor accidents involving two vehicles, requires either of the two parties to send four pictures of the accident through Metrash2 to the Traffic Department’s Madina Khalifa branch.

The department investigates the incident and sends a report to the parties concerned through mobile.

The service, part of e-Services, can be accessed in all six languages of Metrash2 — Arabic, English, French, Spanish, Urdu and Malayalam.
