Tokyo: Children are the future of the world and Qatar is proud to support such an ambitious and innovative project in Onagawa Town in Japan, said Qatar’s Ambassador to Japan Yousef Bilal.
In a statement following the signing of a deal to donate $10m towards a new school in the heart of Onagawa, Bilal said the project aims at putting children at the centre of the community by nurturing their ambitions and helping develop the future leaders of the town.
The deal was signed by Qatar Friendship Fund (QFF) and Onagawa Mayor Suda Yoshiaki in the presence of Foreign Minister H E Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.
