He is the Minister of Awqaf & Islamic Affairs since January 1, 2010. He was Head of Dawa and Guidance Section at the Department of Dawa, the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs from 1996 to 2000. Holds a degree in Islamic Shariah from the Islamic and Arabic Language Sciences Institute at Al Imam Mohammed bin Saud Islamic University in Ras Al Khaimah, a Masters degree in Islamic Sciences from the Kingdom of Morocco. He completed his PhD in literature from the Kingdom of Morocco.
