• There is talk about the decision by the Ministry of Environment to extend a ban on the use of ‘Al Sawaya’ from September 1 to May 2014. The device, which produces a sound similar to bird call, is used by hunters to attract birds.
• There is talk about the announcement by Hamad Medical Corporation of the death of a 56-year-old Qatari woman who was infected with the coronavirus. The woman is the second Qatari to die from the infection; the first was a man who died in London a few months ago. Two Qatari men with the infection are in intensive care in Hamad General Hospital.
