Moscow, June 05 (QNA) - Archaeologists in the center of the Russian city of Anapa have found a rare bronze ring bearing the image of the Egyptian Queen Arsinoe III, who ruled between 220 and 204 BC during the Ptolemaic period.

The ring was discovered inside a hole attached to an old house dating back to the Hellenistic era, where it had been buried for more than two thousand years, along with a group of other artifacts such as decorated pots, jugs, and cups.

The researchers reported that the archaeological site, known as the "Voskresenskaya-6 Estate Group", is located about 500 meters from Anapa railway station, and shows clear evidence of residential and commercial activity in that period.

The ring is of particular importance because Arsinoe III's image was engraved on it during her lifetime, and the history of the site's collection of finds, including amphorae, jugs, and decorated cups, is completely consistent with the era of the Egyptian queen, which is rare in archaeology.
