Hong Kong shares end higher

Hong Kong: Hong Kong stocks ended higher on Wednesday, recovering some of the previous day's sharp losses with technology giant Tencent edging up, although traders remain on edge over North Korea tensions.

The Hang Seng Index rose 0.52 percent, or 132.96 points, to 25,521.97.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.76 percent, or 24.33 points, to 3,207.13 while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, rose 0.88 percent, or 16.61 points, to 1,913.14.
