Doha, Qatar: Minister of Labour H E Dr Ali bin SmAikh Al Marri met with Director-General of the International Labour Organization H E Gilbert F. Houngbo, on the sidelines of the International Labour Conference currently taking place in Geneva.
During the meeting, His Excellency the Minister and the Director-General discussed mechanisms for enhancing cooperation between the State of Qatar and the ILO and ways to further strengthen and develop this cooperation.
The two sides also reviewed the progress of the joint work programme between both parties, the extension of which was signed last year with the aim of enhancing the work environment, increasing the competitiveness of the national workforce, and developing and training the national talents in line with labour market needs.
