Doha, Qatar: During the 112th session of the ILC in Geneva, Qatar chaired a meeting that gathered labour ministry senior officials along with heads of delegations from the GCC. The meeting, facilitated by Assistant Undersecretary for Migrant Labour Affairs at the Ministry of Labour (MoL) Sheikha Najwa bint Abdulrahman bin Nasser Al Thani, addressed the conference agenda and ways to align GCC countries’ stances on the issues. Senior officials from the ministries of labour and heads of GCC delegations at the International Labour Conference were present at the meeting, along with Director General of the Executive Bureau of the GCC Council of Ministers of Labour and Ministers of Social Affairs Council H E Mohammed bin Hassan Al Obaidli. Participants highlighted the importance of enhancing consultation mechanisms and advocating for united GCC efforts during international conferences.
