Qatar Charity opens religious complex in Italy

DOHA: Qatar Charity (QC) has opened a religious complex comprising a mosque, a school, a Dawa centre and facilities for cultural, social and sports activities in Saronno, Italy.
The “Salman Bin Jassim Centre’ will introduce Islam, its principles and values and serve the Muslim community  and provide a platform for cultural discussions among Muslims and others.
More than 3,500 people in the city and the Muslim communities in the neighbouring areas will benefit. People with curiosity about Islam also can visit the centre for information about Islam and its teaching.
Sheikh Hamad bin Nasser bin Jassem Al Thani, President, Board of Directors, QC, opened the facility, in the presence of Youssef bin Ahmed Al Kwairi, CEO, QC; Dr. Ahmed Al Hammadi; QC’s directors and a representative from the bishop. Sheikh Hamad expressed gratitude and happiness for the opening of the centre built by QC, which has become a destination for the Muslims in the city; they go not only to perform their rituals, but also to help build the city. He thanked authorities which allowed the Muslims to establish their places of worship and said this indicates the greatness of Italy’s humanitarian values and democracy.
