DOHA: Temporary traffic lights are being installed at Al Bia’a (Environment) Roundabout by the Public Works Authority (Ashghal).
The signals will be operational in a few weeks as work on laying underground cables under the supervision of engineers is on.
Al Sharq reported yesterday that some 80 percent installation work has been completed and the remaining will be over in a few weeks. The existing roads leading up to the roundabout will be broadened to four lanes from the present three, said the daily.
The roundabout is an important junction as it provides access to busy residential areas, universities and shopping complexes.
