More than fifty students of Pakistan Education Centre (PEC) participated in the ‘A Flower Each Spring’ programme, which was held at Ras Metbakh in Al Khor recently. “A Flower Each Spring” encourages individual and collective initiatives that contribute to sustainable development
The students were accompanied by Nishat Wajid, Saba Mujib and Zobia Bashir (Girl’s Wing). Chairman of Friends of the Environment Center Dr Saif Ali Al Hajiri gave a brief introduction of the programme and “Suaeda Vermiculata”- the flower.
At the event, stalls provided information about insects, birds, plants, pearls among others. The students were also entertained by an Arabic puppet show, which showed the importance of plants and flowers.
Students were given souvenirs and booklets. A certificate of participation was awarded to Pakistan Education Centre.The Peninsula
