Doha, Qatar: Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has lined up high-impact conferences, workshops and scientific events for 2026, reinforcing its commitment to advancing clinical excellence, fostering professional development and enhancing patient care in the country.

One of the main conferences scheduled Qatar Health Congress 2026 (QHC 2026), themed, “Innovation and Integration across Medical Disciplines,” is set to build on the strong credibility and excellence established by previous editions of Qatar Health.  The three-day conference in January is now open for registration via the HMC website. Aligned with HMC’s vision of patient care excellence, the congress will serve as a high-level scientific platform delivering state-of-the-art updates across Internal Medicine and its subspecialties, including endocrinology and diabetes, rheumatology, pulmonology, gastroenterology, nephrology, infectious disease, allergy and immunology, alongside trauma, critical care and artificial intelligence.

The congress will be preceded by two days of pre-conference courses, workshops and symposia, and will offer a minimum of four theme-specific tracks delivered in a hybrid format. The programme includes plenary lectures by distinguished speakers, in-depth symposia, hands-on workshops such as medical procedures and point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), meet-the-expert sessions and a comprehensive postgraduate course for physicians. Expected to attract more than 2,000 participants from Qatar, the Gulf, the wider MENA region and beyond, the event will feature around 40 international speakers and over 100 local experts.

The Qatar Health Congress is one of several major initiatives within a year-round programme of conferences, workshops and symposia aimed at advancing continuous clinical education and service improvement across Qatar’s healthcare sector. HMC has set a comprehensive events calendar designed to support healthcare professionals with the latest evidence-based knowledge, practical skills and opportunities for multidisciplinary collaboration.

The programme begins in January with the Uro-Oncology Conference and the “Communication That Cares” Workshop, scheduled from January 8 to 10 at the Itqan Clinical Simulation & Innovation Center.

This dual-track initiative combines scientific updates in urological cancer care with focused training on compassionate and effective communication, reinforcing patient-centred practice among healthcare practitioners.

From January 15 to 17, the Qatar International Rehabilitation, Geriatrics & Community Care Conference (QIRG3C 2026) will bring together regional and international experts in rehabilitation and community health. The conference will explore innovative strategies to improve care for ageing populations and address the growing demand for long-term and community-based healthcare services.

The 7th Qatar International Pharmacy Conference will take place from January 22 to 25, providing a platform for pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists to discuss drug safety, therapeutic advances and the evolving role of pharmacy practice in the region.

Running concurrently from January 22 to 24, the Intensive Care and Tracheostomy Care Workshops will offer hands-on training sessions aimed at strengthening critical care skills among multidisciplinary clinical teams.

In early February, from February 5 to 7, HMC will host multiple high-level scientific meetings, including the 1st Qatar International Reproductive Medicine Conference alongside the 19th Qatari Review Conference in Otolaryngology.

These parallel events will focus on advancing expertise in reproductive health, ENT surgical practice and multispecialty case management. During the same period, the 3rd Qatar International Infectious Disease Conference will address key global and regional challenges, with discussions on disease surveillance, vaccination strategies and antimicrobial stewardship.

The series will continue into April with the Qatar International Thoracic Conference, scheduled from April 2 to 4, followed by the Neuroscience, Stroke & Multiple Sclerosis Symposium from April 10 to 11.

These specialised gatherings will highlight the latest developments in respiratory medicine and neurological care, respectively, reflecting HMC’s commitment to advancing subspecialty knowledge and clinical excellence.
