Doha: Dr SM Hossein Adeli, (pictured) an economist and diplomat with vast international experience, assumes office as Secretary-General of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) for 2014 to 2016 period.
Dr Adeli is the second Secretary-General of the GECF since its establishment as a formal international governmental organisation in 2008.
GECF is a gathering of the world’s leading gas producers and was set up as international governmental organisation with the objective to increase the level of coordination and to strengthen the collaboration among member countries.
