Ooredoo offers installation guarantee for businesses

DOHA: Ooredoo yesterday launched a new installation guarantee for businesses that order new Ooredoo services.

Customers who order a Business Landline or Direct Service Line (DSL) service will now receive a refund if Ooredoo does not install the selected service within 10 days of the order’s validation. 

Under the new process, customers who receive notification that their request for a service has been accepted and that installation is feasible will not have to wait longer than 10 days for installation.

The promise applies to subscriptions for landlines and DSL for business premises across Qatar.

If Ooredoo is unable to ensure installation within 10 days, customers will be credited with the installation fee of QR200 as compensation. 

The main commitments on the customers’ part are that their businesses must have the internal wiring necessary to support an installation, and that the business representative is present when the technicians call for an agreed appointment.

The 10-day time period was selected based on the success of a past compensation trial in 2010, which had a maximum delivery time of two weeks, the company said yesterday.
