DOHA: Henley Business School at the University of Reading which has a considerable number of alumni and students, inaugurated its presence in Doha.
The business school which would not immediately open a campus in Doha will be providing its expertise service for companies and institutions in leadership and management, Strategy and change, Human Resources and Real Estate.
“We have high number of Qatari alumni and students. Even though we are not immediately opening a campus here, we will be offering executive education programmes in Qatar that allow professionals to build tailor-made courses and training solutions across a spectrum of disciplines,” Professor John Board, Dean of Henley Business School told The Peninsula on the sidelines of an event hosted by the British Embassy in the presence of Michael O’Neill, Ambassador of UK to Qatar and guests from business and education communities.
A part of the University of Reading in the UK, Henley Business School was established more than 60 years ago to develop future leaders with the skills to inspire people and drive progress through excellence and high performance.
Henley Business School’s inaugural venture in Qatar will bring expertise in different disciplines with an aim to support the country’s progress in Qatarisation and 2030 vision on development.
“As Qatar progresses in achieving its goals, they need more leadership training and human resources development in various field. Our presence will help them in this regard,” said Hugh Evans, Vice Dean, Executive Education.
“Qatar represents an exciting market for us and we’re confident that our tailor-made programmes and solutions will allow executives to develop and optimise the performance of their businesses.”
Henley Business School is one of the few global business schools to hold triple accredited status (AMBDA, EQUIS and AACSB).
Henley Business School was the first of its kind in the UK and comprises six distinctive schools, Leadership and Organisational Behaviour, ICMA Centre (Finance), School of Real Estate & Planning, International Business and Strategy, Business Informatics and Accounting and Marketing and Reputation.
