Naseem Al Rabeeh Group provides Rs1.38crore aid

Doha: Shifa Al Jazeera — Naseem Al Rabeeh Healthcare Group, the leading healthcare conglomerate in the GCC, has provided financial assistance worth Rs1.38crore for the needy and other welfare schemes as part of its charity initiative.
At a function in Muscat, Group Chairman Dr. K T Rabeeulla said this is part of a larger charity worth Rs10crore and so far over Rs6 crore has been distributed in three phases.
“Shifa Al Jazeera will always be at the forefront of providing welfare to the hopeless sections of society,” he added.
He said in the third phase, financial aid was distributed for construction of homes, medical  treatment and education. About Rs45lakh has been distributed for construction and completion of houses under the ‘Baithu Shifa’ social welfare programme initiated by Shifa Al Jazeera Group to provide housing for poor people, he added.
About Rs30lakh has been given to educational institutions in Malappuram district and Rs20lakh to a research centre in Kozhikode district.
Also, Rs2lakh has been given to the welfare fund for Muhammed Fazal of Tirur initiated by KMCC, Muscat, who died in a fatal accident in Muscat recently.
P K Basheer, Member, Kerala Legislative Assembly, received the amount from the chairman at the function at Grand Hayat Hotel, Muscat. In addition, $3,000 has been given for the renal treatment of a Thiruvananthapuram native, Muhammed Shareef.
Shameer P T K, Rahim Vattallur, Rafeeque Ameen, Firos Ottappalam, Hussain C K Wayanad and Aslam Backer were also present at the event.
