DOHA: The Public Parks Department at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment continues to plant more trees to increase green areas. During 2010-2015 it delivered 40 parks across Qatar, taking the total to 87 and planted 34,500 Sidr trees since 2012. It also prepared a study on its future strategy to increase green areas and trees and will double the number of parks, especially in outside areas and those with dense population.
