Bank of Japan (BOJ) Governor Haruhiko Kuroda lifts a bunch of papers, which share the size of a 100m-yen note, together with a school student during a workplace visit at the BOJ headquarters in Tokyo yesterday. The BOJ is set to maintain its massive asset purchases and its optimistic view on the economic outlook this week, unfazed by a slew of weak data that has heightened expectations of a deeper-than-expected contraction in the second quarter.
