Doha: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index gained 150 points, 1.46 percent, to reach 10,482 points at the beginning of yesterday’s trading, amid anticipation of the US Federal Reserve’s decision to raise interest rates yesterday.
QSE figures attributed the positive performance of the general index to an increase of the communications sector by 3.37 percent, the industrial sector by 1.64 percent, the bank and financial services sector by 1.61 percent, the real estate by 1.06 percent, the insurance sector by 0.94 percent, the transport sector by 0.65 percent, and the consumer goods and services sector by 0.29 percent.
