DOHA: The Ministry of Economy and Commerce organised a workshop on ‘Art of Stress Management’ as part of its social responsibility efforts.
The workshop aimed to familiarise employees with stress management techniques to equip them with essential tools and skills to better allocate time resources and improve performance levels, maximise productivity and ensure delivery of high-quality services to the public.
A large number of officials and employees from the ministry attended the event, which featured lectures by mentors from the Family Consulting Centre and Qatar Charity.
Discussions focused on daily pressures faced by individuals and how to address them, in addition to offering psychological tests to assess the level of stress experienced by an individual and identify family, social, marital and physical stress.
Other types of stress underlined during the workshop were anxiety and decisionmaking difficulties, sources of stress (whether internal or external) effects, symptoms, consequences and treatment. The workshop also featured training on how to manage time resources, set life goals, determine priorities and how to achieve these goals. A Question-answer session focused on how to achieve desired goals and tasks. Participants also provided solutions during training on stress management.
