1,738 people jumped red signal in March: Report

Doha: In March 1,738 people were caught jumping a red signal. This was disclosed by the Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics (MDPS) on their scoail media platform. It was also mentioned that 69,917 people were caught for speeding (radar) in March.
MDPS regularly publishes various statistical data and the traffic violations were reported on a infographic published by the ministry.
There were 312 instances of non-renewal of registrations, 10,441 violation of traffic signs and 18,273 violation of traffic instructions.
The infographic also mentioned that there were 1,540,226 departures at Hamad International Airport (HIA) in March. HIA saw 1,524,101 arrivals during the same period. Figures include transits and transfers.
