DOHA: Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF) has launched a portal to provide online consultation to Arab and Muslim students to help them get scholarships and admission in top international universities.
Academic experts, including senior professors with working experiences in international universities, have been assigned to reply student queries online.
‘RAF Platform’ is accessible on http://www.raf-minha.com/. and the portal so far is in Arabic but RAF plans to add English language so that more students, especially those of some African countries, could benefit.
So far, over 4,000 consultations have been provided, Dr Hani Yahya Al Tamimi, Acting Head, International Programmes and Projects, RAF, told a press conference yesterday.
“We will soon issue a complete guideline in Arabic for students seeking admission and scholarship for studies in international universities,” said Al Tamimi.
Queries included how to apply for admission in a university in Germany, is there any scholarship to study in European countries, how to apply for the scholarship of Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah University Education in Malaysia and how to get a scholarship to pursue studies in foreign universities, among others. The Peninsula
