Doha: For the third consecutive year, the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) Academy brought to you by Ooredoo will take place in Qatar, as the company pushes to encourage sport and healthy living across the country.
The academy, which will be led by PSG coaches and supported by local players, will take place at Doha College School and will be open to 200 boys and girls aged 6-16 years.
Players will have the opportunity to experience the PSG football school which aims to train the next generation of sporting stars.
Fatima Sultan Al Kuwari, Director, Community and PR, Ooredoo, said: “We want to encourage youngsters to get involved, start running and playing and inspire sportsmanship.
“This is a great opportunity for children across the country,” she added. Children will be taught skills, including tactical and defensive playing, stamina training and the basic rules of football at the camp.
Participants will also receive an official PSG Academy diploma at the closing ceremony. The launch of the third PSG Academy in Doha is the latest in Ooredoo’s sports initiatives as the company gets ready to celebrate Qatar National Sports Day this month.The Peninsula
