Doha: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs H E Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah checked the preparations of the Amiri Air Force and the Amiri Air Defence Force, who are providing security to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
It came as part of His Excellency’s tour of all units participating in securing the tournament as part of the Ministry of Defence’s preparations for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
During the inspection tour, His Excellency was briefed on the preparations of the aerial component of securing the event.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs also visited the US forces participating in securing the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 tournament within the trip paid by His Excellency to the units participating in securing the tournament, and within the framework of the Ministry of Defence’s preparations for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 event.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah visited the Italian forces participating in securing the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
During the visits, His Excellency was accompanied by Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces H E Lt. Gen. (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel Al Nabit, Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence and Security Affairs H E Major Gen. (Pilot) Mohammed Abdullatif Al Mannai, who is also Chairman of the Ministry of Defence’s Executive Committee for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, Commander of the Joint Force to secure the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 H E Major Gen. Saeed bin Hussain Al Khayarin, and a number of ranking officers at the Armed Forces.
