Mitsubishi Motors hosts visitors from Qatar at Tokyo Motor Show 2019

In collaboration with Qatar Automobiles Company, the authorised general distributor of Mitsubishi Motors in Qatar, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) hosted a group of visitors from Qatar at the 46th edition of Tokyo Motor Show 2019.

Held once every two years, Tokyo Motor Show is one of the preeminent motor shows worldwide. At the Motor Show, Mitsubishi underscored its position in the industry, introducing their range of futuristic cars that will set new standards.

Via smooth flights, premium hotel accommodation and easy transport to the show, the reporter’s unique experience with Mitsubishi introduced them to the latest in the brands innovative cars - which were under the spotlights of the Tokyo show.

The reporters from Qatar represented diverse media outlets and were introduced to the Japanese culture and traditions in order to build string ties and bridges with all parts of the world.

Thanks to its Research and Development center, the MMC endeavors to the lead the new segments to practical usage in the coming years, a concept which will change the face of the car industry worldwide. MMC strategy is to meet the customers’ demands in a rapid changing industry, and to offer new solutions that best fit the new automotive concept nowadays.

Exhibits on the MMC booth included the MITSUBISHI ENGELBERG TOURER – the mid-size electrified SUV concept, which was unveiled at the Geneva International Motor Show in March 2019 and giving its Japan debut this time; Outlander PHEV plug-in hybrid electric SUV; Eclipse Cross crossover SUV; ASX, Delica D:5 – the minivan; and other key models.

The visitors from Qatar at Tokyo Motor Show were the first to see the news Mitsubishi ASX that was revealed. The new 2020 ASX model has gone through some significant styling changes. It now adopts Mitsu’s latest Dynamic Shield front design language with LED headlights and taillights. Mitsubishi also designed a fresh rear skid plate finished in silver to make the ASX seem a bit more rugged. A similar change has been made at the front bumper to complete the look.

The 2020 ASX is equipped with 2.0-liter engine that gives you all the power you need for all your trips. MIVEC technology allows the engine to combine maximum power output, fuel efficiency, and environmental performance.

From inside, the 8-INCH DISPLAY MONITOR makes the Navigation and rear-view camera easier to use. In terms of Safety, the new ASX is equipped with many features such as Blind Spot Warning (BSW) / Lane Change Assist (LCA), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), and 7-airbag system which helps protect every passenger in every seat. Besides, the Emergency Stop Signal System is very useful when sudden braking is detected. The system reduces the chance of a rear collision by automatically flashing your hazards to warn the driver behind.

During their visit, the witnessed the reveal of new concept cars that captivated the visitors, including the MI-TECH CONCEPT small-sized electrified SUV concept car, MI-TECH CONCEPT, and the SUPER HEIGHT K-WAGON CONCEPT Kei car.

Mitsubishi new concepts included MI-TECH CONCEPT Outline (World Premiere); SUPER HEIGHT K-WAGON CONCEPT (World Premiere);MITSUBISHI ENGELBERG TOURER (Japan Premiere); and DENDO DRIVE HOUSE (DDH).
