Cairo, Egypt: Secretary-General of the Arab League Nabil Fahmy discussed during a phone call with Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein the tense regional situation and ways to achieve security and stability in the region
A statement issued by the Arab League Monday said that, during the call, the two sides stressed the importance of addressing current developments through diplomatic means and strengthening inter-Arab relations to protect the region and preserve the nation-state as a cornerstone of stability and security.
The two sides also agreed to continue their cooperation and consultations and to use all available channels to safeguard Arab rights, while revitalizing and developing the mechanisms of the Arab League in the interest of the Arab world, which is facing systematic attempts at domination and subjugation.
