DOHA: Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF) will hold a charity bazaar from August 12 at its headquarters located in Al Duhail.
The event “Eid Bazar and Back-to-School” will showcase brand-new dresses, household items, and stationery donated by philanthropists for needy people.
The move aims to provide new clothes to needy families at nominal prices and to bring smiles on the faces of their children by providing them school gears.
The women section of RAF began receiving contributions of aforementioned items from donors – individuals and companies. The companies can sell their products at charity bazaar at discount prices.
The donations and contributions can be made till August 15 as the bazar is scheduled to open from August 12.
The bazaar is being organised within the activities of the “cloth house”. The license for holding the bazaar has been issued from regulatory authority for charity works.
“Bazaar is going to be held at right time whereby two major occasions Eid-al-Adha and back to school coincide overburdening the poor families,” Ghada Abu Jassum from women section at RAF.
“It is very difficult for needy families to meet the requirements on such occasions due to their poor financial conditions,” said Ghada. Abu Jassum called people –citizens and expatriates, individuals and companies and commercial shops as well to make their contribution to the bazaar.
