Doha: The Birla Public School (BPS) has announced an increase in its fee structure for classes KG1 to 10 following international curriculum.
The increase is “very marginal” in both the tuition and transport fees, the school said in a statement yesterday.
The monthly increase in tuition fees is QR 84 for all sections.
Transport fee has been raised by QR 69 per month, only for inside Doha locations. There is no revision in outside Doha transportation Fees.
“As a consequence of our operating costs increasing exponentially due to circumstances beyond our fiscal control, we are constrained to inform you of a very marginal rise in our fee structure from the current academic year 2016-17.
The increase is with the approval of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education,” said the statement.
“Since we have commenced our KG International curriculum this year, as a special gesture, the school management has decided to give the increased amount as concession for KG I section for this academic year.
“The revised tuition fee will be charged from the next academic year only,” said the statement.
The school management has also decided to waive off the differential amount of the first term transport fee for this academic year, for all sections.
“The revised transportation fee will be charged from second term of the current academic year only. The revised tuition fees for the year will be collected along with the second and third fee instalments.
