Ashghal, MOT develop over 3,000km bicycle paths in 12 years

Doha, Qatar: The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport have implemented more than 3,430km of bicycle paths from 2013 to 2025.

The Ministry in a social media post on the occasion of World Bicycle Day celebrated every June 3 reaffirmed its commitment to supporting healthy lifestyles and sustainable mobility.It noted that the construction of the bicycle paths are part of various road projects, in addition to the Olympic track on the coastal Creek Road.The Ministry added that the integrated network encourages community members to exercise and use bicycles as an environmentally friendly means of transport that supports physical activity and reduces carbon emissions.
