Doha: Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) has completed maintenance works for electricity and water networks to make them ready for additional loads especially at peak hours during Ramadan.
In case of any disruption in electricity and water supplies, customers can contact Kahramaa’s emergency number 991 for help round-the-clock during the fasting month, said a statement.
The website (km.qa) and WhatsUp number 30303991 could be also used to avail the services.
Since electricity consumption increases massively in mosques during Ramadan, Kahramaa has made arrangements for surplus power to attend to sudden supply disruptions. Water tanker filling stations will be open seven days a week to meet customer needs.
In Al Wakir, Al Khor and Al Shahaniya, water tanker filling stations will work from 6am until 4pm. In Al Shamal, Mesaieed, Jemiliyah and Al Ghuwairiya, the stations will work in one shift from 6am to 11am. In Al Sailiya and Umm Salal, they will work from 6pm until 4pm and 7pm until midnight.
On Friday, the stations will work from 6am to 11pm and 12:30pm to 5:30pm. Kahramaa has urged people to have a ground tank for water to meet needs of 48 hours.
