Stafford Sri Lankan School Doha is preparing for its 8th Annual Inter-School Scrabble Tournament on March 21. The tournament will be held in the school premises. This year the tournament is being organised under two categories — School Category and Open Category.
School Category is open to students of expatriate schools in Doha. The details and age categories have already been sent to most schools.
The organisers are inviting Scrabble players to participate in the Open Category. This event is open to youth and adult competitors, beginners or experienced. Players born before 31/12/2005 are eligible to enter the tournament. Players must know correct scoring and must have a basic knowledge of Scrabble words.
There is a nominal registration fee and all the players are expected to register before the tournament. Players are also expected to bring their Scrabble boards (Official- green board), pencil/pen.
