Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF) has built an orphanage with a capacity to house 375 children in Yamuna Nagar district in the Indian state of Haryana.
The facility will provide free education and health care services to the beneficiary children. They will also be given food, clothes and accommodation.
The project “Abdullah and Abdul Jalil Abdul Ghani Al Abdul Ghani Center for Caring and Rehabilitating Orphans in India” was developed on an area of 3,316 sqm. It was financed by a Qatari citizen, Abdurrahman Abdullah Abdul Ghani.
The orphanage building is two-storied comprising a mosque , five living rooms, five classrooms, an office, a computer room. The facility also has a clinic, a kitchen and a restaurant among others.
The centre has a playground, two residential apartments, an ambulance and two buses. The building was furnished and the operation costs for two years have been provided.
The centre will be opened officially on Friday. The opening ceremony will be attended by a delegation from Qatar comprising senior RAF officials.
