Doha: Qatar Meteorology Department's weather forecast, valid until 6pm Thursday, warns thunder showers with sudden strong wind at places inshore this afternoon while offshore the high seas will face strong wind to the north.
The weather inshore will be relatively hot and scattered clouds with chance of thunder rain at places while offshore it will be partly cloudy with prospect of scattered rain and slight dust.
Inshore wind direction will be northwesterly-northeasterly with speeds from eight to 17 knots at places increasing up to 25kts during thunder showers.
The offshore wind direction will be northwesterly-northeasterly with speeds from 12 to 18 kts increasing up to 22kts.
Visibility will be 4 to 8 kms, 3kms or less during thunder showers. The sea state inshore will be between one to three feet, reaching up to four feet at times, and offshore will be four to six feet, rising up to seven feet to the north.
