Ashghal to hold workshop on GCC wastewater treatment tomorrow

DOHA: The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) is organising a workshop on ‘Successful experiences in wastewater treatment and reuse in GCC countries’ tomorrow at Palazzo Ballroom, Kempinski the Pearl Doha from 8am until 2.45pm.
It is organised in collaboration with the GCC General Secretariat, Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) and will be attended by representatives from the GCC states.
The workshop aims to promote cooperation between the GCC states to develop joint strategies with respect to treated sewage water, related technologies and best practices. 
Participants will present papers on important topics of interest to engineers in the Gulf countries, including regulations on the use of treated sewage water in the GCC, strategic master plan for treated sewage water, balancing the use of desalinated water and treated sewage water, the role of laboratories in the quality of treated sewage water, the importance of data collection to monitor treated water quality and use of treated sewage water in cooling. Firms and engineers have been asked to register through Ashghal website www.ashghal.gov.qa by tomorrow 9am.
