Qatar Red Crescent (QRCS) continues its relief work to help those affected in the events taking place in Iraq’s Mosul, with the support of Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) and with the operational partnership of International Committee of the Red Cross.
QRCS said over the last few months its medical staff operated the Mosul General Hospital to enable it to provide all medical services to Iraqi refugees and to provide them with comprehensive health care as an urgent and quick response to patients and those injured by military operations there.
Since the QRCS’ team and medical staff began to operate the hospital, they received more than 9,250 injured patients providing them with all the healthcare needed, in addition to conducting more than 300 surgical operations in various fields, QRCS said. This QRCS initiative comes part of its extensive medical programme to support health centres and institutions that provide medical services to families in Mosul.
