Katara to host exhibition on Belgian comics in November

An exhibition tracing the long history of Belgian comics is set to be held at the Cultural Village Foundation-Katara in November.
Belgian Ambassador Christophe Payot presented the proposal to host the exhibition during a meeting with Katara General Manager Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti yesterday.
During his visit to Katara yesterday, the envoy praised the unceasing efforts of Katara to collaborate with embassies in Doha aimed at shedding light on various cultures and civilizations. Dr Al Sulaiti presented a souvenir to Ambassador Payot on the conclusion of his diplomatic mission in Doha.
Dr Al Sulaiti also met with Ethiopian Ambassador Mesganu Arga Moach. The meeting was held with an aim to enhance cultural ties between the two countries, through the joint cooperation of each country’s cultural entities, in addition to enhancing the cooperation between Katara and cultural entities in Ethiopia. The Ethiopian ambassador praised the bilateral relations and expressed his utmost appreciation and gratitude to Katara for its keenness to host various activities and events, which act as window to all cultures for the visitors to witness. He added that Katara’s brand identity is recognised on regional and international levels.
