Doha: The 38th meeting of the Committee of Senior Arab Officials in Charge of Nuclear Weapons and Other Weapons Of Mass Destruction Issues began at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of Arab League in Cairo yesterday.
Qatar took part with a delegation headed by Deputy Chairman of National Committee on Arms Embargo Brigadier (Air) Hassan Saleh Al Nisef, reports QNA.
The two-day meeting is discussing topics related to disarmament issues, particularly Arab countries’ preparations for the 60th Annual Regular Session of IAEA General Conference in Vienna, Austria on September 26 -30, preparations for Arab participation in the First Session of the Preparatory Committee in Vienna on May 2 -12 May 2017 and latest developments in the field of international disarmament.
