A workshop being presented by Vice-Principal of Rajagiri Public School, S Radhakrishnan.
Doha: Rajagiri Public School (RPS) has organised an instructive webinar on ‘Indian Mathematics’ for the parents of Grades 4 and 5 on May 26 to brace the parent in solving intricate mathematical problems for their children.
The workshop was presented by S Radhakrishnan, the Vice-Principal of the school, who has won a wide acclaim throughout GCC for his sessions on ‘Vedic Mathematics’. The workshop aimed at imparting to the parents on the techniques which would enhance their problem solving skills promptly and competently.
The presenter also developed a level of divergent thinking in the parents that would in turn help them train their children to think out of the box and break the conventional thought process. The ‘easy way of addition of numbers by dot method’, ‘concept of complement of numbers’, ‘usage of complements in doing subtraction of numbers’ received a great applause.
The presenter proved that math phobia can be curbed completely when students are taught quick steps to solve the calculations. As they augment concentration and memory power, learning mathematics would never be a hard nut to crack.
There was great appreciation from the participants about the techniques shared by the host. Parents left the session with the credence that they could foster strong mathematical skills in their children.
The welcoming address was delivered by Nisha Shahul Hameed, the coordinator for grades 3 to 5. The concluding message was delivered by Sanjeev Kumar, the Principal of Rajagiri Public School.
