DOHA: The ninth edition of Heya Arabian Fashion Exhibition opens today at Doha Exhibition and Convention Center.
Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohamed Al Thani, Chairman, Qatar Chamber, will inaugurate the exhibition.
Heya is a five-day women-only event, open daily from 10am to 10pm. Today, it is open from 6pm and tomorrow from 3pm. Organisers are
encouraging visitors to register in advance at heya.qa to avoid waiting in queues. The event will also feature specialised workshops for make-up and hair today and tomorrow.
Some of the most reputed designers taking part include Debaj, Jo La Mode, Al Mutahajiba, Al Dukan, M Jay Design and Harlenz from Qatar; Hessa Alflasi, Anatomi, Manal Al Ahmadi, Anaya Collections, Sogha and Murikan from the UAE; Sahar Al Homoud from Kuwait; Haifa Fahad from Saudi Arabia and Dar Naseen Alandolos from Bahrain.
The exhibition represents a fusion of art, couture and luxury, offering residents and tourists a unique experience of Arabian cultural heritage. It provides a high-profile platform for reputed and up-and-coming local and Khaliji designers to display their latest creations to a fashion-conscious audience. It is organised by Qatar Tourism Authority and delivered by Design Creationz.
