DOHA: The second annual Qatar International Medical Congress (QIMC) will focus on hospital equipment and supplies, diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, sports, medical and rehabilitation sectors.
QIMC 2016 will be held from May 18 to 20 and feature an exhibition and conference to pave the way for the development of the local, regional and international medical sectors and markets that depend on the medical industry.
It will provide the industry with opportunities to navigate the dynamic markets of Qatar, GCC, the Middle East and on the international level.
Following the success of the first congress in 2015 launched under the patronage of Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, this year’s event continues to support the regional medical society, bringing together renowned and innovative companies from around the world and connecting them to the industry’s leading entrepreneurs, doctors and researchers.
“We are pleased to be bringing the international medical community to Qatar again. QIMC 2016 is expected to further enhance Qatar’s image on a global level by fostering a knowledge-sharing environment among the international medical community.
“By advancing the national healthcare agenda, the event supports a key aspect of the human development pillar in realising Qatar National Vision 2030,” said Abdullah Abdurazaq Haider, CEO, QIMC.
QIMC 2015 welcomed about 8,000 visitors and over 150 exhibitor, and this year’s congress promises to attract a larger international audience and research interests from around the world.
QIMC 2016 will also introduce the latest medical innovations to the healthcare sector and focus on research organisations in Qatar.
The names of local and international exhibitors and sponsors will be announced soon after finalising all agreements, at a press conference prior to the event.
