RAF projects in Kyrgyzstan help families

Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF) implemented 61 income generation projects at a cost of QR265,000 for poor families in Kyrgyzstan recently.
The projects were financed by the endowment fund of Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Al Thani for charity works.
Under the income generation programme, the beneficiary families received six taxis, 20 sewing machines, 20 cows and 150 sheep. Priority was given to families with orphans, the disabiled and those left without breadwinners and source of income.
More than 400 people are expected to benefit from the project.
The project was implemented by RAF in collaboration with Al Sanabel charity organisation, its local partner in Kyrgyzstan. A filed survey was conducted to register the names of most deserving people in several areas in suburbs of Bishkik city, Tashwi governorate of Kyrgyzstan and their capacity to carry the income generation businesses.
Twenty families with experiencesin the agriculture sector were selected for breeding cows for dairy production. Another 15 families were selected for breeding sheep for milk and meat.
