Baghdad: The death toll of an explosion that rocked Iraq's Baghdad earlier today increased to 35, officials said.

There were 65 people injured as well. Iraqi security sources said that a terrorist used a car bomb to attack Jameelah area in the East of Baghdad, close to Al Sadr city.

Sources added that the death toll was likely to increase due to the strength of the explosion and the large number of people. No group assumed responsibility for the attack so far.
